    Description

    Wow!
This uniform is in about perfect condition.
It is a New Jersey Militia Frock coat in a Deep Blue color from the 1890s Era.
It was made by Horstmann, Philadelphia and has a complete set of New Jersey State Staff buttons with Horstmann, Philadelphia back marks.
White shoulder knots complete the display.
    T
he collar has the interwoven letters "R", "D", and "P" for which the meaning is unknown, but I suspect that the "R" may stand for "Rifles".
    Just a guess.
It is in a different color which makes it dominant.
If anyone knows the meaning, please let me know.
I cannot find any defects on either the exterior or the interior.  Well, the makers pocket label is a bit loose, but that is about all.
This uniform will make a wonderful display if your collection includes this time period and you will probably never find another in as nice a condition.
Although it is priced accordingly, you are still welcome to make a reasonable offer to which I will give serious consideration.
    Thank you.
