Want to power up your car's manual locks? Wire these door lock actuators to your manual car door locks, and you'll be able to lock and unlock your car doors automatically with your remote.
Each actuator comes with a 9" backstrap, 10" push arm, screws, speed clips and attaching block. You'll need one actuator for each door you'd like to control. You'll also need relays (we sell them as well), no matter how many actuators you install.
Important Note:
If you know how to use a multimeter and have experience working with your vehicle's electrical system, you should be able to install this type of door lock system.
Overview:
This item is a door lock actuator, which can be used along with an aftermarket alarm or door lock module to convert your vehicle's manual door locks into powered door locks. One actuator is needed for each door. If your alarm or door lock module is not equipped with door lock relays, then two E5000 relays (item 120E5000), or one 514DLS3R, will be required for installation.
Reverse Polarity Operation:
This actuator has only two electrical connections; one wire is blue and the other wire is green. The movement of the plunger depends on which wire receives power and which receives ground:
Lock (plunger pulls in):
Blue wire needs ground, Green wire needs +12V
Unlock (plunger pushes out):
Blue wire needs +12V, Green wire needs ground
