    Original 4th U.S. Cavalry Officer's Kepi.  The interior of kepi  is cloth - never had a leather hat sweat band. Light wear and a few tiny moth holes.
    Col. Ranald S. Mackenzie and the 4th U.S. Cavalry were sent to Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico & Arizona Indian Territory with campaigns against the Kickapoo's, Comanches, Cheyennes, Utes and Apaches.
