    Description

    This is an extremely fine U.S. Indian Wars Campaign Medal that is in excellent condition. The planchet is beautifully struck, exhibiting sharp detail, and is with an attractive age toned patina. The rim is incised with the number, “2151”. Beautifully hand engraved on either side of the number is, “FOR EXHIBITION” “PURPOSES ONLY”. It is suspended from the original, second type ribbon which remains strong, solid and is with excellent color. The medal is mounted on a full wrap broach that is with functional pin and catch assemblies. A fine example of a very scarce American campaign medal and one that remains in excellent, original, and undamaged condition.
